This handbook gives an in depth overview of global education competencies as well as a simple breakdown of 4 critical global education competencies that is very clear and concise, referenced on p. 12. I feel that this chart on p. 12. I would like to emphasize using these 4 competencies as a starting point for our school to strive toward within our global education initiatives. Asia Society Global Matrices for assessment: An excellent assessment resource including the arts which I referenced for modifying lesson plans. Also includes matrices for ELA, Math, Science, social studies and world languages/ The Global Competence Matrix was created as part of the Council of Chief State School Officers’ EdSteps Project in partnership with the Asia Society Partnership for Global Learning OXFAM Global Citizenship Guides
Includes a Global resource guide for schools, for teachers, and for specific subjects math, english and science as well as guides for partnerships with schools and teaching controversial subjects. A great resource Global Education Checklist by Fred Czarra This is an excellent starting point for evaluating how our school currently performs on the global education spectrum. |
